Dr. Albert L. DeBonis

Al DeBonis is currently the president of Wood Advisory Services, Inc., which he founded in 1984. Al has a Ph.D. in Wood Science and Engineering from Colorado State University. He was manger of the Engineering Research and Development for the Western Wood Products Association (WWPA) and taught at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University Department of Forest Products. Al has carried out both basic and applied research over the years on many products, but his current focus is on the proper use of wood products in construction.
